This is a very
typical girlie teen magazine telling its audience about the latest tends celebs
and gossip. The use of the extremely famous Rita Ora as the cover girl, the
audience can connect the audience to the magazine and are instantly drawn to
the recognizable celeb. The bright pink lipstick also links to the magazine as
the writing and all of the ads are in a very electric pink. The pink is usually
associated with girls and the cliché chick flick genre and therefore will bring
in this audience. I would say the target audience for this film is girls ages
10- 15 due to the content of celebrities which would need a mature audience to
understand however the novelty of the magazine.
One of the adverts on the bottom of the cover states-
"I'd lick someone’s toe!"- This is extremely humorous and intriguing
which would make the audience want to read and find out what is happening the well-known
boy band- JLS. There is also an advert that refers to a new free makeover
scheme. This would be extremely exiting for this range of girls as there is
just entering the world of teen hood. This will therefore made the audience feel exited about reading and the word 'free' allows them to understand how easy iot is to access.
Rita has a very positive reflection as she is smiling and laughing towards the camera, She has very white teeth, perfect hair, and immaculate makeup. This would make the audience feel envious of the celeb as she is the image of perfection of the young girl audience. Also by having the advert about the makeup, it gives the girls false hope that they could look like Rita and be mature and beautiful.
